Happy to announce that Big Valley and Mifflin County Youth Baseball have reached an agreement to merge and create a one county, one league system for youth baseball in Mifflin County for the 2020 season. After years of discussions, we’ve come to a resolution to find a way to allow all the kids in Mifflin County to compete against each other. During the 2020 season, Mifflin County Youth Baseball will create 2 associations, Lewistown East and Lewistown West, to give the county, along with Big Valley, a total of 9 associations to cover the entire county.
All Major players will play 50/70 baseball under the Cal Ripken affiliation, while all Minor players and Big Valley coach pitch will play under Little League. This exciting merger gives us multiple post season tournament trails options with the ability to create many tournament teams. More baseball for more kids. Keep in mind that Mifflin County Pony League is a separate organization with a long standing relationship with Mifflin County Youth Baseball, Big Valley Little League and our community.
Keep a lookout for more information to follow about this exciting time in Mifflin County for youth baseball. Signups will begin in January.
