What an Opening Day, huh?  We never thought after last year's inaugural Opening Day ceremony that we could top it.  The weather came through and so did the festivities. 

The meeting on the mound of some members of the 1949 Mifflin County state playoff team with the 2008  MCYB 10- and 11-year-old all stars was something special. Amy Smith fired a strike on the outside corner for the ceremonial first pitch.  What a wonderful day all around. 

I want to thank each and every one of you who helped, whether it was grilling the franks, selling 50/50 tickets or sitting in the stands cheering on your child and his team. On behalf of MCYB, thank you.
